When Your Child Starts in the Nursery...

When your child joins our School in the Nursery / Lower Foundation Stage we offer lots of opportunties for you child to settle into our setting. The restrictions and unpredictability of the last year have meant that staff have adapted the process but are certain that it will support children's transition into the nursery setting. This page acts as a hub for all Nursery based starter/transition news and will provide the information you will need to support your child starting nursery. This year, in line with restrictions, we aim to provide a blended approach to your child's transition into nursery where your child can meet and the staff and familiarise themselves with the setting.  It helps us prepare for their first day and means we can strike up meaningful conversations when they start Nursery which will make them feel welcome in their new surroundings.

We aim to provide a happy, relaxed and secure atmosphere where children can explore and play in a well planned environment which takes account of the social, emotional, physical and intellectual development of the individual child. Our learning takes place inside and ouside both independently and supported by adults.
